The necklace, a jewel that is attached to the body, establishes a dialogue and also a debate with the body of its wearer. It relies on the movement of the body, relating intimately with it in an optical and tactile way. The necklace not only has a protective or decorative function, but is also a component of a construction of social identity: it frames the face, the part of the body that we largely associate with personal identity.
