Crayons

Sonora and Baja California, 2022

Inspired by the beauty, richness and diversity of the lands of Mexico that have sustained us since ancient times; Suula designed this series of crayons made with beeswax as a base and mineral pigments from different latitudes of the country. This is a special edition of fourteen numbered sets, each with six Mexican land colors. Its packaging made of cotton was dyed with turmeric and pericón.

Suula is an experimental dyeing studio and research, which practices traditional processes for the extraction of botanical and mineral colour.
